About Sheila Reed, LAAC, CCTP, CI, IMH
Sheila Reed is a Licensed Associate Addiction Counselor (LAAC), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and holds specialized training in Infant Mental Health (IMH). She is the founder of Repairing the Bridge Behavioral Health, where her work is rooted in the belief that healing happens through connection, compassion, and meaningful change.
With over a decade of experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, and early childhood systems, Sheila brings a deeply relational and trauma-informed approach to therapy. Her background in Infant Mental Health allows her to understand how early experiences, attachment, and family dynamics shape emotional well-being across the lifespan—insight she integrates into her work with both adults and families.
Sheila specializes in supporting individuals navigating trauma, addiction, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. She uses evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients move beyond survival mode and into values-driven living.
Her work goes beyond symptom management. Sheila focuses on building psychological flexibility, strengthening resilience, and helping clients reconnect with their identity, purpose, and self-worth. She collaborates with clients to identify patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change.
At the core of Sheila’s work is a commitment to treating the whole person—addressing mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social well-being. She is especially passionate about helping individuals and families break generational cycles, heal from trauma, and build nurturing environments where both they—and the children in their lives—can truly thrive.
Through Repairing the Bridge, Sheila provides a safe and supportive space for healing and growth—because no one should have to cross that bridge alone.
